Tips for Visiting Portland Farmers Markets
- Go as early as possible. Portlanders are huge on local farmers markets, so crowds are to be expected. If you plan to pick up some seasonal fruits and veggies, come early to ensure they don’t get picked through.
- Cash is king. While credit cards are accepted, vendors prefer cash because transactions are smooth and quick. Thankfully, ATMs are typically available on-site (located near the information booths).

Providing locals with fresh fruits and veggies since 1996, this Portland farmers market is unparalleled in location and size. This hearty farmers market is located at Portland State University’s (PSU) campus in the South Park Blocks between SW College & Montgomery Streets.
Both the MAX and Portland Streetcar have stops within 2 blocks of the market. The PSU farmers market has a diverse variety of vendors, you’ll find everything from fresh bouquets and homemade bread to chef demonstrations and live musicians.

Kenton Farmers Market in North Portland

From nurseries and farmers to artisan bakers and cheese makers, you can’t go home empty handed. You’ll also find ton of activities on offer like live music, a cool kid’s playgrounds, water fountains and ample seating, everyone is bound to gave a good time.
As you can imagine, parking will be challenging. Show up early or plan to park and walk so minimize the frustration.
Downtown Vancouver Farmers Market
