#5. Hammer & Vine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Intimate, quaint and quirky, Hammer & Vine is the quintessential Portland plant shop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s tucked into an building off West Burnside and I would have missed it altogether if it weren’t for the a-frame sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, the tiny shop is filled to the brim with fascinating and unique plant species I haven\u2019t seen elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, their selection of charming clay pots is impressive and the knowledgeable staff are also happy to answer any questions you may have. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable keeping your plants alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

#4. Gurton’s Plant Shop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ask any local about their favorite plant shop in Portland and Gurton\u2019s is guaranteed to graze the list. This beautiful plant shop has been operated by the same family for seven generations and doesn\u2019t show signs of slowing anytime soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as you walk in, you’ll be swallowed up by plants.<\/strong> You\u2019ll find a plethora of healthy plants to choose from, whether you\u2019re in the market for classics like philodendrons and cactus or more exotic and unique species. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With plenty of pots, soil and gardening supplies (the funky sheers deserve mention) to choose from, this is an easy one-stop-shop for anyone looking for the best plant shops in Portland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3. Cistus Nursery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Visiting Cistus Nursery feels like stepping foot unto a tropical island and I don’t need to tell you how essential that is during the winter months! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the other Portland plant shops mentioned on this list, Cistus is a working nursery. You’ll find plants spanning the gamut, everything from tiny house plants to fruit trees fit for an orchard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only is the plant selection well curated and expansive (fascinating, weird, hard-to-find varieties), but the staff is knowledgeable and warm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2001, Pistils Nursery is quite possibly the most instagramable plant shop in Portland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s two locations to choose from (N Mississippi and Slabtown), both locations are equally charming. Every nook and cranny is perfectly curated to show interesting plant species and beautiful pots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solabee Flowers & Botanicals is a unique Portland plant shop, in the sense that it serves as both a floral studio and plant shop. Thankfully, they excel in both fields and Portland is lucky to have them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s two beautiful locations (NW Portland and N Killingsworth) and both are chock-full of thriving plants and beautiful floral arrangements. You\u2019ll be smitten the second you walk through the door, this is a Portland plant shop you won\u2019t soon forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
