I feel so lucky to call Portland home. Will and I absolutely love it here, it suits us. We currently reside in a historic two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Northwest Portland. Our lease is up at the end of August so we decided to take photos to remember our first home together.
We’re moving three blocks over, so we don’t plan to leave the neighborhood or anything. We just don’t get use out of the second bedroom and with rents skyrocketing across the city, downsizing felt like the right move.

Update: Here’s some photos of our second Portland apartment.

My rock collection! Heart-shaped rocks we find on our trips and/or Will brings home from his trips.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed living in this apartment but are excited to move into one bedroom unit. We were hoping that a two bedroom would allow us to host out-of-town guests.
We’ve learned that we’re either a) less cool than we thought, or b) people don’t tend to visit Portland often. I’m sticking with the second option.
And I know what you’re thinking, “Woah, Will has a plant problem.” But listen, we all have our vices. 😉 Kidding of course, both Will and I are plant fanatics.
In fact, as I write this, he’s on hold with Home Depot asking if they have any Hope Philodendrons in stock for the season. Man of my dreams. Home is the nicest place there is.
Love, Antonina

Beautiful space! You really want to move?? ????
Wow – my first comment! Thank you, Marianne! We do love this apartment but it’s a two-bedroom and we’re looking to downsize. The Northwest area, where we plan to stay, has a lot of charming buildings built in the 1900s. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for a similar, albeit smaller, apartment. I’ll make sure to write a post as soon as we settle in. 🙂 The adventure continues!
My hope plant is so big I will need to put a hole in the ceiling…. All my babys
